Please Join us in celebrating 8 years of interfaith connection as Sarah finishes her time at DMARC this Month.
Dec. 9 – Thank You Reception at DMARC
3:30 to 5 p.m.
We hope that you will join us on December 9th for a special reception in her honor to celebrate the impact she has had over the last 8 years in her role as Coordinator of Interfaith Engagement. We are incredibly grateful for the interfaith connections Sarah has helped forge and look forward to continuing her legacy of interfaith collaboration and connection. Sarah is also encouraging community members to support our continued interfaith work by making a donation in increments of “8” to celebrate the 8 years of impact in her role.
Dec. 9 – Thank You Reception
Join us for an open house reception at DMARC (100 Army Post Rd. – Get Directions) to celebrate Sarah’s enduring impact on our interfaith partnerships across the metro. Wish Sarah well on her next journey and connect with other DMARC staff. Meet Patrick Minor, who will be stepping into a new community engagement role to help continue this legacy of interfaith leadership.

A Legacy of Interfaith Partnership
The Rev. Sarah Trone Garriott joined DMARC in August 2017 as the Coordinator of Interfaith Engagement. Sarah has helped pioneer the Iowa Interfaith Leadership Camp, which has over 120 alumni, and opened many doors with the many faith leaders here in the Des Moines Metro.
Sarah has also helped foster a strong partnership with The Comparison Project at Drake University in their efforts for interfaith awareness, dialogue, and scholarship. Through countless presentations, tours, events, and connections with the community, Sarah has inspired many to think differently about food insecurity in their community and take action.
