Thanksgiving Updates & Closures

This Thanksgiving season has been a hectic time across the DMARC Food Pantry network, and we are reminded of how grateful we are for your support in helping us meet this need.

Because of the generous support of everyone in the community, we were able to serve a record number of our neighbors during the shutdown of the federal government.

This was not an easy task, and we will continue to see a ‘ripple effect’ in the weeks ahead at local pantries as so many of our neighbors catch up on bills and expenses. If you would like to support our work, and ensure every one of our neighbors has food on their plate, and in their pantry at home this Thanksgiving, you can make a donation online or find other ways to get involved.

Thanksgiving and holiday closures

As we continue into the holiday season, please note that holidays will impact food pantry hours and availability. Please plan ahead and reach out to your local food pantry directly for questions about special holiday promotions.

• 11/24 – 11/28: DMARC delivery orders will be taken Monday and Tuesday of this week and delivered to your household early on Wednesday before the Thanksgiving holiday
• DART Closed 11/27: The mobile food pantry location at DART Central Station will not operate on on Thursday for the Thanksgiving holidays
• DMARC closed 11/27 and 11/28: The DMARC offices, warehouse and DMARC-Ket Southside Food Pantry will be closed on Thursday and Friday in observance of the Thanksgiving holidays.
