Coming to your doorstep – May 9, 2026
Each year, DMARC is fortunate to be selected as the recipient of the local chapter of the National Association of Letter Carrier’s annual food drive – Stamp Out Hunger, the largest food drive of the year. Des Moines metro letter carriers plan to collect thousands of food items left at the mailboxes of homeowners, renters, and businesses.
All YOU have to do is leave a donation of nonperishable foods at your mailbox on May 9.
Thank you to the National Association of Letter Carriers for their support of anti-hunger efforts across the country through Stamp Out Hunger®!
At Last year’s Stamp Hunger …
19,659 LBS
of nonperishable food was donated by people across the metro.
136 PEOPLE
Volunteered their time during the week sorting food items.
272 HOURS
of time were given by volunteers during the course of the week.
Multiply your impact
With our warehouse and purchasing power, DMARC can supply up to 6x more food with the same dollar amount that you might spend at the grocery store. Your donation supports our Stamp Out Hunger efforts and grows your impact.
